You Are Enough

You are enough.

Even if you don’t fit in. Even if you see things differently. Even if you disagree. Even if you don’t know the rules. Even if you feel like an outsider.

You are enough.

It’s what I wish I’d been able to tell my 7-year-old self – who was hiding her doubt and uncertainty inside because she thought that she wasn’t enough, because of how people looked at her and reacted to her. She felt their judgments and their need to put her in a file that they understood.

“What does your father do?”

“Where are you from? I mean originally?”

You are enough.

Even if you are different than those around you.

You are love. You are joy. You were born to be that.

You are enough.
