A Day in the Life of a SoulPreneur

Here’s what a day last week was like for me.

I was on the phone between 9am and 6pm, with incredible clients – that I love. I found a new Canadian printer for my Soul’s Calling Cards because I wasn’t happy with the price of the cards from my original service. That meant a delay in sending the cards out. I received a huge box of packing materials, started planning 2017, cut up some butternut squash and started marinating chicken. Also in between calls, I got in some elliptical time (because I gotta), and paused to connect to source energy.

At the same time, I’m submitting my book to a publisher, planning new dates for 2017 See Your Soul Self Retreats, re-doing my website, creating a new coaching package for Soulpreneurs, facilitating my Soul Sistah Mastermind, hanging out in the Fearbusting Club for Soulpreneurs, that I created a few years ago, and trying to figure out what to buy people for Christmas.

I’ve lived in this alternate universe that Soulpreneurs live in, for more than twenty years now…ever since I was downsized from my job and decided to be self-employed.

This is what I’ve learned:

You CAN have work you love;

You CAN create work that gives you freedom;

Your gifts are valuable….you CAN get well paid for doing what you do best.

But there’s a downside:

It can get a little lonely. You don’t have to get up and go somewhere every day. Until you don’t do that, you don’t realize how much you liked it.

You have to buy all your own office supplies.

Your vacations are unpaid – unless you pay yourself.

There is a ton of planning involved so that you have content lined up and programs set up and your eggs aren’t in one financial basket. You have to be strategic. It isn’t haphazard.

Let’s say that there’s a trade off.

You get to do what you love in the way that you love to do it, AND it’s all on YOU.

YOU plan, structure, design, sell, create, decide who you hire or whether you hire help.

I never believed that I could do all that. I didn’t think I wanted to.

But I can. And I do. And you know what? I actually like it!

After you work this way for a while, you end up completely unemployable.

If you’re at the beginning of this journey, hold on to your hat. Becoming a soulpreneur will totally transform your life!

Big love,

Bev
