Work one-on-one with Bev

Who are you now — and what’s next?

Private coaching and mentoring for women navigating a major life or work transition — including trained coaches finding their way toward work that feels truly theirs.

Discover who you are now, make sense of what your life has been telling you, and create what comes next.

BOOK A CONVERSATION

Something in your life is changing.

Maybe something has ended.

A career. A relationship. A role you've played for years. A version of yourself you thought you'd always be.

Or maybe nothing dramatic has happened at all.

You just know you can't keep living the rest of your life the way you've been living it.

The work that once mattered doesn't anymore.

The role that used to define you doesn't fit.

Or you're approaching retirement and everyone keeps asking what you're going to do next.

Maybe you trained as a coach years ago and can't stop wondering whether now is finally the time.

Maybe you're ready to create your third act — and you want it to mean something.

Or maybe you already have an inkling of what you want.

And it terrifies you.

Because wanting it means you might actually have to do something about it.

And underneath all of this is a feeling that's difficult to shake:

I'm not done yet.

There is more of you that wants to be lived.

More you want to contribute.

Something that feels like it might be yours.

You just can't quite see what it is — or how to get from where you are to there.

And when you've spent your whole life being capable, responsible and the person other people count on, not knowing can feel awful.

This is the work I do.

I work privately with women in this in-between place — women asking:

Who am I now?
What do I really want?
And what am I going to do with the life that's still mine to live?

Together, we make sense of the pieces of your life so you can begin to see yourself again, and create what comes next from there.

BOOK A CONVERSATION

What if you're asking the wrong question?

You think you need to figure out what to do next.

But after almost twenty years working with people at exactly this crossroad, I've learned there's a question that comes first:

Who am I now?

Because every transition begins with an ending.

A role. A career. A relationship. A way of seeing yourself.

And you can't create a new chapter of your life from an identity that no longer belongs to you.

So that's where we start.

We look across your life — at your natural genius, desires, body wisdom, triumphs, wounds and experiences — for the clues to who you are now and what may be yours to do.

Your whole life becomes evidence.

And as the pieces come together, you begin to see what matters now. What you want. What you're finished with. And what you may be here to contribute.

Eventually, you reach what I call the Boat Dock — the place where you have enough clarity to dare to decide.

Not because you're certain.

Because you trust yourself enough to choose.

And that's where your next chapter begins.

How we work together

A process shaped around you.

We begin with where you are and what is happening in your life now.

Our work is guided by the Soul's Calling® process, but it isn't a curriculum we have to get through. We'll use the parts of the process that help you see yourself more clearly, understand what your life has been telling you, and make decisions about what comes next.

And we'll keep bringing what you discover back into the life you're actually living.

Because this isn't just about insight.

It's about recognizing what is yours — and trusting yourself enough to act on it.

The Soul Work Clarity Workbook

As part of our work together, you'll receive my 108-page Soul Work Clarity Workbook — a deep, self-guided resource containing some of the very best work I've developed over more than 25 years.

It includes exercises, reflections and guided visualizations designed to help you get underneath the thinking and figuring-out mind and begin listening to what your life and your own deeper knowing have been telling you.

You'll work with it between our sessions, at your own pace.

You don't have to bring me every answer. We won't go through it page by page. And there is no perfect way to do it.

Instead, we work with what emerges.

Our sessions are magical and practical.

You don't have to have it all figured out before you arrive.

Bring the confusion. The half-formed idea. The decision you keep going back and forth about. The thing you can't quite explain but can't stop thinking about.

Together, we'll slow it down, untangle what's happening and look for the connections that are hard to see when you're standing in the middle of your own life.

Something you said three weeks ago may suddenly connect to what you're struggling with today.

A story you've always dismissed may turn out to contain an important clue.

The thing you've been calling a weakness may look very different when we see it in the context of your whole life.

And sometimes you'll hear yourself say something and realize:

Oh. That's what I actually want.

I won't tell you what your life means. We'll keep checking what we discover against your own knowing.

Does this feel true?

What happens in your body when you say it?

What do you know?

And our conversations can move easily between the deeply personal and the completely practical.

One minute we may be untangling a belief you've carried for decades. The next, we're talking about the work or offer you're creating, a conversation you need to have, or the decision sitting in front of you.

Magical and practical.

Because your inner life and your outer life belong in the same conversation.

Enough time for something to actually change.

In my experience, four months gives us the time for real change to take hold.

We meet privately on Zoom for nine hour-long sessions over four months — three times during our first month, then twice a month for the following three.

I've found this rhythm works because the time between our conversations is part of the work.

You have time to work with the Soul Work Clarity Workbook. Live what you're discovering. Try something. Notice what happens. Change your mind. Take a risk.

Then you bring your actual life back into our next conversation, and we work with what's there.

It's a deeply personal process shaped around you, your life and what is emerging.

Because I work this personally, I only take a small number of private clients at a time.

What women say about working with me

Bev is a Lighthouse

She has a gift of bringing women together that are not only desiring the outcomes described but that have some deeper thread of connection to each other. She draws them in, gathers them around, and it doesn’t take long to see and feel the connection.

Bev’s guidance, questioning and enthusiasm cast light on areas where I was misaligned with my soul. I learned how to step into my own light, realizing that this alignment was all I needed to come Home to myself.

Sheila Johnston - Artist & Coach

Magical and Mystical

Bev, you are magical and mystical. When you follow your intuition, you are co-creating with the divine – being a messenger invigorating us on our own path.

You 100% believe my dream is possible and that strong energy helps me to believe it too.

You’ve helped me figure out what I truly want, believe I can have it, and helped me step by step, to get there…and to change course when that's not it for me anymore.

Linda Nicholson - Human Design Coach

Clarity Catalyst

Working with Bev was like being handed a mirror that finally showed me who I truly am. Her ability to see the soul of my work—before I could—was nothing short of magic.

The clarity I gained around my business has shaped everything I do now and the path I see ahead.

She doesn’t waste time, she cuts to the essence—and somehow, she does it with heart. If you’re circling your purpose, Bev will help you land it.

The Soul’s Calling® Method

Our work together is guided by the Soul’s Calling® Method, the body of work I’ve developed and refined over more than 25 years.

It’s a way of making meaning from life’s transitions — of understanding where you are, discovering who you are now, and finding your way toward what comes next.

The roadmap reminds us that feeling lost doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.

You may simply be between who you were and who you’re becoming.

And there is a way through.

Let's start with a conversation.

You don't have to decide whether you want to work with me before we talk.

We'll start with a no-commitment conversation about where you are, what's changing, what you're trying to figure out, and what kind of support you need.

I'll tell you how I think I can help, and we'll see whether working together feels like the right fit.

If it does, we'll confirm the details and get started.

BOOK A CONVERSATION

I'm Bev Barnes, creator of the Soul's Calling® Method.

For more than 25 years, I've been helping people make sense of who they are, what they want, and the work they're here to do.

I've been a career counsellor, therapist, university instructor, coach, teacher, facilitator and mentor to other coaches. I have a Master's degree in Human Behaviour Sciences, graduate training in Brief & Strategic Therapy, training in Career Development and Group Facilitation, and I'm a Certified Master Life Coach through Martha Beck's Wayfinder Coach Training.

But the thread running through all of it has always been the same:

I help people see themselves.

I have a particular ability to listen to the pieces of a life that can seem unrelated — the work you've done, what you've survived, what comes naturally to you, what you care about, what keeps calling you — and see the patterns connecting them.

That's the work that eventually became the Soul's Calling® Method.

And it's why I especially love working with women at this particular crossroads.

You're not starting over.

You're discovering what everything you've already lived has been preparing you for.
